Is the San Francisco 49ers OC position like the Defense of the Dark Arts teacher in Harry Potter?

I would think the Defense of the Dark Arts would take offense with that corelation. Anyways, there hasn't been much stability with the HC coach since Mariucci was fired at the end of the 2002 season. The 49ers have had 6 consecutive losing seasons from 2003-current. Losing the off. and def. coordinator are the convenient scapegoat when a season goes bad. Also the lack of development of #1 overall pick Alex Smith has led to the constant shuffling at OC position. Singletary did announce this week that he is looking for a "long-term" solution for the offensive coordinator position. That would be a big step in the right direction for a franchise that is in desparate need of stability.
