HOW can I convince a doctor to give me a whole-lung lavage after exposure to silica dust?

it doesn't hurt to ask. find some pulmonologists in your area, explain the situation, and ask. i personally have never seen this procedure being done, and my best advice would be to find a private practice pulmonolgist. this will cost more, but in turn you will get what you want.
