Does anyone else think the Bible was a trick by God to see how gullible people could be?

To see if he could drive them nuts by trying to make them believe that every word in a book filled with contradictions is the word of God, and that they should all love and believe to be perfect a God who is childish, vindictive, violent, hateful and mean beyond all human imagining? Is God sitting there guffawing at all these simpletons every Sunday?
